Would You Not Mind Subscribing, Sir?

Flying high,As being free, so flying high,
Even tomorrow, as being free, thus flying high,
Indeed, though departing on a muddy road, even tomorrow, as being free, we will be flying high.

[Truly, still Kyou-no-Hi wa Sayou-nara.

Would You Not Mind Subscribing, Sir?
(Voulez vous abonner à ce journal, monsieur?)

In today's Sankei Shimbun newspaper (one of major Japanese newspapers), they have discussed quality and features of language Japanese politicians use. The focus is of course on the new Prime Minister Mr. Yasuo Fukuda.

Indeed, a key to promotion of democracy is language, especially spoken language, though Japanese society has long been based on written language since Manyoshyu (a huge verse work of literature) was edited in the 9th century. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man%27y%C5%8Dsh%C5%AB

When Mrs. Makiko Tanaka, a former foreign minister and incumbent lawmaker and also the daughter of legendary prime minister Kakuei Tanaka, was recently interviewed after the Q&A session with Mr. Fukuda in the parliament, she said, "He talked like a politician one or two generations ago."

Today's Sankei's article, on the front page, has also pointed at the same characteristics as Mrs. Tanaka did on the Prime Minister's speaking.

Yet, the most interesting comment on the article is that Mr. Yasuo Fukuda's speech shows a high level of intelligence his father, the prime minister of Japan 30 years ago, also spoke with.

However, Prime Minister Mr. Yasuo Fukuda uses pronouns more than today's ordinary politicians do in their talking, which Mrs. Tanaka with a uniquely keen sense never missed.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Makiko_Tanaka

The article of the Sankei Shimbun newspaper concluded that the new Prime Minister's speaking quality is more excellent or advantageous than that of the former Prime Minister of Japan who abruptly resigned from premiership a month ago due to health problems, though it may be still a matter of comparison.
* * *

What's more, the front page of the newspaper shows a picture of Ms. Benzair Bhutto just after the failed attempt of assassination by terrorists in Kalach in southern Pakistan.

It also reports on failed security and management of confidential information in Japanese Defense Force, with an advertisement of a book (on the back side of the front page) former Defense Minister Ms. Yuriko Koike, who tried to improve discipline of the Defense Department in a too short period of her assignment, wrote after her departure from the position two months ago.

There is also an advertisement of a music magazine featuring the late Luciano Pavarotti, the celebrated Italian tenor in operatic music who died in Modena, Italy, on September 9.

It also posts an interesting comment by an editor on Ms. Deborah Kerr, a Golden Globe Award-winning Scottish actress who was also awarded an honorary Academy Award and BAFTA recognition, who died a few days ago.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Deborah_Kerr_in_Julius_Caesar_trailer.jpg

The comment has praised her intelligence, which seems to be rooted in a quality of European culture, while bestowing the highest eulogy on her performance in a film related to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

Indeed, intelligence behind vocal expressions by a politician is a key to their appealing power.

(Even former Prime Minister Mr. Junichiro Koizumi reportedly loves to listen to classical music including opera, meaning he is more a classical enthusiast than an admirer of Elvis Presley.)

There is a profession in Japan called a door-to-door newspaper solicitor. They visit individual homes to win a contract for subscription of a newspaper.

It is not a highly-regarded job. But, one day, in evening under a chilly and cloudy sky, I encountered a young woman visiting homes, apartment houses, etc. to get clients.

Probably, a certain newspaper distributor has changed their policy so that they have started to hire young women as sales persons instead of tough guys.

Anyway, sales talk is also a key to success in this field, but it is pitiful to see a young woman making a difficult effort door-to-door to win a rare contract over so many cool rejections, while elite newspaper reporters, male and female alike, are traveling all over the world on sleek jet planes and staying at luxurious hotels to write an article no reader is moved by.

That is why I have reported on articles on a front page of a certain newspaper today.

(Do you read a newspaper? Or do you own a newspaper company, like some of your friends?

Anyway, I don't think girl's reading newspaper will not make her have very little prospect of marriage as people of three generations ago or older thought in Japan.

Of course, Jesus Christ never read a newspaper, though he told His followers to know how the wind will blow tomorrow.)

Divine Comedy 2007 (XXI)

Dancing down are autumnal leaves
In a cold street full of plane trees
During my mid-winter return trip
With unspoken love you are supposed to reed

1. Jesus Wept
(Jésus a pleuré)

Joh 11:32 Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
Joh 11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled.
Joh 11:34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.
Joh 11:35 Jesus wept.

Joh 11:36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
Joh 11:37 And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?
Joh 11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
Joh 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
Joh 11:40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
Joh 11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
Joh 11:42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
Joh 11:43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
Joh 11:44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

(I suppose Jesus Christ wept because His loving Mary was weeping so hard, as this is the only description of his weeping for whatsoever reason. It must be this Mary Lord Jesus Christ was loving personally in my view.)

2. Pictures of Afghanistan and Pakistan
(Photos de l'Afghanistan et le Pakistan)

1) Pictures of irrigation channels Mr. Tetsu Nakamura, a Japanese supporter of Afghan people, helped construct using donation money from well-meaning Japanese:
http://www1a.biglobe.ne.jp/peshawar/inochi/inochi-r123-a.html

2) Pictures of Japan's aiding disaster victims in Northern Pakistan after the great earthquake of 2005, at the site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan:
http://www.mofa.go.jp/mofaj/area/asia/pdfs/pe_monitor.pdf

In Japan, the biggest concern now in the society is how Japan should be engaged in the international operation in Afghanistan, including especially the continuation of free supply of fuels and water to US and Pakistani naval ships in the Indian Ocean which is so close to Iraq.

Of course, the bombings targeted for Ms. Benzair Bhutto, which happened early this morning in Japan Time, have been reported in Japan. The bombings took more than 100 lives, while Ms. Bhutto was spared; more tragically the great Pakistani earthquake in 2005 took 80,000 lives.

3. Divorces in Paris
(Divorces à Paris)

On March 12, 2007, I wrote about a Hungarian French, which turned out to be prophetic later, too:
"Mr. Peter Frankl, a Hungary-born French mathematician and now resident in Japan, gave her up eventually, and lost a motivation forever to return and settle in his home country Hungary, thus seriously thinking about tragedies induced by difference in races and religions."

Then a few months after, Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy, a son of a wealthy Hungarian immigrant father, was elected President of France.

It is reported that he is going to divorce.

His rival in the French presidential election, Ms. Marie-Ségolène Royal, also divorced after the election.

I suppose that until the French Government fully addresses and solves the tragedy of Princess Diana, Paris may continue to be in a state of betrayal of a husband and a wife.

4. Unique Ladies and Common Beauties
(Unique Mesdames et beautés commune)

The wife of JFK was a kind of common American beauties.
The wife of Lindon Johnson was a kind of common American beauties.
The wife of Richard Nixon was a kind of common American beauties.
The wife of Gerald Ford was a kind of common American beauties.
The wife of Mr. Jimmy Carter was a kind of common American beauties.
But the wife of Ronald Reagan was more a unique lady than a kind of common American beauties.
The wife of Mr. George H.W. Bush was more a unique lady than a kind of common American beauties.
The wife of Mr. Bill Clinton was more a unique lady than a kind of common American beauties.

I suppose those presidents from JFK to Mr. Jimmy Carter could not fulfill their missions in their presidency for various tragedies, failures, and problems.

But, the tide changed when Mrs. Ronald Reagan became the First Lady. Her husband and all the subsequent presidents and their families have been fulfilling their missions, whatever, though under difficult conditions but not fatal.

Describing my impression, those ladies seem not to have wept, at least, badly as they are so unique.

(If you, good girls, can be unique and common, it may be great advantage to you and your family in the worldly sense even if you are in New Orleans or Chicago.

Yet, I don't know if I will weep, though Jesus Christ did as He loved that Mary so much, in my interpretation of the Gospel with full respect to my Lord.

By the way at today's midnight, NHK Satellite TV is to broadcast an interesting program on Japan's democracy, though we may be a little sleepy.)

Divine Comedy 2007 (XX)

(Any Majestic Butterfly in Japan?)

Divine Comedy 2007 (XX)
[Comédie Divin 2007 - XX]

1. Karmic Justice

In 2004, a Japanese youth was killed in the suburb of Baghdad. Later terrorists who killed the Japanese were arrested to confess their crime upon the poor Japanese traveling alone in Iraq for his own fact-finding adventure.
(Also, in 2006, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was attacked by the U.S. Air Force and died. It is believed that he was ultimately responsible for abduction and the slaying of many foreigners in Iraq, including one Japanese.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Musab_al-Zarqawi )

In 2007, or a few weeks ago, a Japanese veteran photo-journalist was killed on a street of Yangon in Myanmar. Also, recently the prime minister of Myanmar died, for which I am very sorry.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7041705.stm

2. Divine Viewers

As this blog EEE Reporter is a non-commercial, non-profit, and non-organizational effort without any association with any bodies, fundamentally the number of viewers is not of its prime concern.

This is not for mass-market operation for earning profits by selling products or services, or obtaining people's concern based on which to win fame and earn indirect profits.

I assume that there are one viewer in New York, one in Paris, one in Berlin, one in the Vatican, one in Jerusalem, one in Baghdad, one in Kabul, and some Japanese learners in Korea, China, Australia and maybe India who occasionally view this blog. So, there are seven-plus non-nonsense viewers assumed in my assumption.

Yet, if one in a hundred Internet users who have ever accessed this site is pious enough to be guided here by the God, I expect hundred viewers per half a year worldwide to encounter EEE Reporter, which means one new viewer per two days.

3. Prophecies

I am not a prophet, though I am probably poor enough to be. But, I wrote on November 20, 2006:
"Cash-out refinance in America is one of big concerns to Japanese industries.
The rate of increase in value of homes has been declining in the U.S. residential real-estate market.
Money eventually supplied by Fannie Mae (FNM: Federal National Mortgage Association) is expected to decline from a $200 billion to a $100 billion level."

The report was intended to tell radical Muslims that the largest concern of ordinary American citizens is to have a big home. American citizens have no intention to fight against Muslims for any religious cause.

The subprime mortgage financial crisis is now a worldwide concern, forcing Europe and the U.S. to supply a few hundred billion dollars for their financial sectors and lower the interest rate.

This may be more alarming to oil-producing countries, China and India than to Japan, though I am not a prophet, since I think I am not a prophet.

4. Period of Time

There is a Japanese proverb that a man should observe with sincere interest his friend who has been out of sight even for three days.

It is because a man can change drastically even in three days if he is a person of vision or with high aspirations.

There is an economic theory that performance of a company should be judged in a ten-year span. The trend of its stock price in the past decade should be also more meaningful than any other information.

If a non-nonsense viewer of EEE Reporter is guided here through any causal association with a holy plan of God or Allah, he or she might be given a holy power of prophecy by the God or Allah.

He or she may be performing it ten years later.

He or she may become, however, convinced of it in three days.

Indeed, this blog is in such a category.

Precisely, this is at such a level concerning the holy justice.

(That is why you should be so remote, for example, in New York or Paris, since this kind of mission should cover from the east to the west, as the prophetic influence of the God Almighty can be so vast and great.

As for Japanese, who would love to read a blog written in English by other Japanese discussing Judaism, Christianity, and Islam?

Only those Japanese who might happen to go to Iraq or Myanmar pursuing his or her own destiny had better check EEE Reporter before they venture into a fatal path.

Truly, there are many Japanese who think they will surely be rich and happy in Tokyo, as they are complete strangers to EEE Reporter and fatally to God, the Creator of Japan and the Japanese race.)

The Emperor Butterfly

(still This Magic Moment...)

The Emperor Butterfly
(L'Empereur papillon)

Last night, a midnight news program from a Tokyo TV station reported on the Emperor Butterfly commonly observed in the U.S.
http://www.cherylasmith.com/butterfly/tawny.html

They migrate into a forest in Mexico every year over very long-distance journey across the continent.

The issue is how and when they started to make such a very long-distance journey across the continent at a change in seasons.

It seems to be an example of a product of accident and certainty.

Probably, millions of years ago, there were many butterflies that could not successfully make round fly between a flower field in the Northern America and a forest in Mexico, as such a venture must have been almost certainly impossible.

But, most probably, a few made it from each flower field to Mexico by chance.

In these millions of years, their descendants got multiplied to a huge quantity as we observe today.

Therefore, they share the same inclination on preference in direction to be taken in migration and the timing to trigger the action.

The preference should be written in their DNA or a nerve-cell structure.

Accordingly, they have to inevitably start to fly to the forest in a certain week in a certain month.

(Now, it is your homework to adapt the above report to emergence, development, and deployment of true followers of Jesus Christ and servants of God or Allah.

Are there any types of butterflies that migrate from the US continent or, say, Paris to Japan? There might be the one yet to be discovered, here and there, as so transparent.

At least, there are some coming from the southern sea to Japan.

Know Yourself Near and Far to God
(Connaissez vous qui sont de près ou de loin à Dieu)

In these days in the Japanese Diet, the budgetary committees of the Lower House and Upper House have been held.

Every minister of the cabinet, including the new Prime Minister Mr. Yasuo Fukuda, is obliged to attend the Q&A session of the committee in both the Houses.

The NHK TV station broadcasts the session live in both the morning and the afternoon.

One requirement for the prime minister of Japan is to bear physically and psychologically severe questions and accusations by opposition parties in the committees televised live for hours without interruption except one hour at lunch time.

This is a big difference from the U.S. presidency and the Chinese one-party tyranny.

But, my wish is for ministers and law makers to discuss the relationship between mankind and God for the peace of the world and the survival of mankind in the era of global economy and global warming.

Put simply, worship of God or Allah as an individual should take priority over worship as an Israelite, a Christian, or a Muslim.

Put simply, worship of the Creator of the material world and the spiritual world as an individual should take priority over worship of Buddha or other gods as a Buddhist, a Hindu, a Taoist, a Confucian, a Shintoist, or simply a Japanese.

Reference
Taoism:
The character Tao 道 (or Dao, depending on the romanisation scheme) means "path" or "way", but in Chinese religion and philosophy it has taken on more abstract meanings. Tao is rarely an object of worship, being treated more like the Indian concepts of atman and dharma. The word "Taoism" is used to translate different Chinese terms. Daojiao/Taochiao (道教 "teachings/religion of the Dao") refers to Daoism as a religion.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taoism

Confucianism:
Confucianism is a complex system of moral, social, political, philosophical, and quasi-religious thought which has had tremendous influence on the culture and history of East Asia up to the 21st century. Some people in Europe have considered it to have been the secular "state religion" in East Asian countries because of governmental promotion of Confucian values and needs.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confucianism

Brahmanism:
The Vedic period is held to have ended around 500 BC, Vedic religion gradually metamorphosizing into the historical Indian religions, among them the Vedanta school of Hinduism and Buddhism, the former further evolving into Puranic Hinduism, the latter diversifying into Chinese and Japanese schools.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedic_Brahmanism

Hinduism:
Hinduism is a diverse system of thought with beliefs spanning monotheism, polytheism, panentheism, pantheism, monism and atheism. It is sometimes referred to as henotheistic (devotion to a single "God" while accepting the existence of other gods), but any such term is an oversimplification of the complexities and variations of belief.

As Mr. Noriaki Kurokawa Died Last Week

As Mr. Noriaki Kurokawa Died Last Week
(Comme M. Noriaki Kurokawa est décédé la semaine dernière)

Last night Japan's NHK rebroadcast a report, first presented in early 2001, on travel Mr. Noriaki Kurokawa who died last week had made to Russia probably just before the broadcasting.

Mr. Noriaki Kurokawa, the kanji letters for whose surname mean "Black River," was a famous Japanese architect since 1960's.
http://blog.livedoor.jp/spwalker/archives/50716581.html
* * *

He was also a candidate for the recent Tokyo Governor election, in which his old friend and notable author Mr. Shintaro Ishihara was reelected, and the Upper House Election conducted this summer where he failed, too.

When Mr. Kurokawa announced early this year his entry for the Tokyo Governor election, everybody got surprised. No matter how notable and rich he was, Mr. Kurokawa had had nothing to do with politics in the past. Eventually, he got only about 3% or so votes in the election. And, almost a half year later, he died of a disease.
* * *

In the NHK's revived report, he visited scarece remnants of avant-garde buildings constructed in Moscow, Leningrad and so on. This style of buildings in the Soviet Union mostly constructed before WWII, such as a 150m-high radio tower which really looked avant-garde even today, had been however suppressed by Stalin.

Mr. Kurokawa told Moscow students that abstract design set people free (which Stalin probably had been afraid of and hated so much).
* * *

But, the main purpose for Mr. Kurokawa's visit to Russia six years ago was to search for and meet with a Russian lady who, as an interpreter, had helped him in an international architecture students conference held in the USSR in 1958 to which he had been especially invited as a representative of Japanese young architects.

According to the TV report, he could actually find and meet her he had fallen in love in vain some 40 years before this reunion mainly due to the political and international situations at the era.

On this occasion to Russia, Mr. Kurokawa carried a picture of the Russian lady with him in the conference having been held some 40 years before.

When he visited her apartment and was welcomed by her, Mr. Kurokawa found the same picture in a new frame in her room.

Remarkably, she looked like herself some 40 years before. Mr. Kurokawa looked like finding her charm again, sitting near her playing the piano for him as well as probably for a crew of NHK.
* * *

Then some six years later, Mr. Kurokawa suddenly decided to run for the Tokyo Governor and the Upper House member of the Diet, all in vain.

And, several months later, namely, last week, Mr. Kurokawa died also suddenly of a disease while being busy making many TV appearances, though he looked so thin and loosing weight in these days.

His wife, a famous Japanese actress, said that her late husband had said cordially that he really loved her in their final conversation.
* * *

Looking back from 2007, avant-garde buildings Mr. Kurokawa encountered in Russia some 50 years ago seem to have become a key to his later huge success in the global architectural sector.

But, it is unknown what a key to understanding his surprising entry to big elections in Japan in 2007 was, though he had met his dream lady in Russia several years before, to whom he had written so many letters but could not receive any replies from her, an attractive interpreter in the Soviet Union, some 50 years ago.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kisho_Kurokawa
* * *

This is what I saw on TV last night, namely the Sunday night in Japan.

When I was a high-school student, of course, in Japan, it was said that smart students, in a science course, usually went on to an electric or electronic engineering faculty of a university but some wise students also went on to an architectural faculty, though swotters often went on to a medical faculty.
http://www.factmonster.com/ce6/world/A0858989.html

But, of course, without love and freedom or without a chance of exercising love and freedom, you cannot boast of your success in any fields.

Japanese politicians should find any hidden and significant messages in that engagement in politics Mr. Noriaki Kurokawa ventured into for half a year before his death.

By the way, is there anybody running for the US Presidency risking his or her life and rather taking years or months off his or her life for whatever cause of his or her own?

(Especially, Tokyo Governor Mr. Shintaro Ishihara might need to supplement the death of Noriaki Kurokawa.

I don't think it is cheap, anyhow.

Jesus Christ said not to judge a person from the outside, if he or she always dresses in black; we have to judge a person at least based on his or her long-time cherished wish or dream, such as completion of the avant-garde architectural philosophy.

Or anything else on your side?)
