OIL PRICE DISCUSSIONS

(The Longed-For Tokyo Bay, though, in the rain on a Suday)

OIL PRICE DISCUSSIONS

If you want to appeal to old men and women, young voters, and young mothers caring for children, you had better look amiable and friendly.

And, if you want to appeal to a constellation of influential people here and there, you have to pick up the theme, “oil prices.”

You look amiable; so I speak the oil-price truth.

SECTION I: Mr. Krugman vs. Japanese Economists

There have been humble discussions among Japanese economists about the recent oil price surge or a paper Mr. Paul Krugman wrote on June 24, 2008.

----------
Figure 1 shows that relationship. It also shows the cost of holding oil in storage, which consists both of the rent on the tank, or whatever, and the interest foregone by tying up wealth in physical commodities. (Yes, the independent variable is on the Y-axis. There’s a reason for that.)

…First, the point I’ve emphasized a lot: because of the excess flow supply, somebody must be accumulating inventory.
But the second signature is probably just as important: for this kind of situation to occur, the future and spot markets have to be in “contango”: futures price above spot, sufficiently so to make storage worthwhile.

What if that’s not true? Then the market looks like Figure 3:

Here the spot price, again indicated by the dotted line, is determined by flow supply and demand. Inventories aren’t growing, and the futures market is characterized either by “backwardation” – futures price below spot – or by a contango too weak to make storage profitable.

And here’s the thing: the actual data we have on crude oil don’t show the signatures of a market driven by speculative demand. Inventory data don’t show a big accumulation; and the market has mostly been in backwardation, not contango. It made news when, late last month, a slight contango developed – because until then there had been backwardation…

http://www.princeton.edu/~pkrugman/Speculation%20and%20Signatures.pdf
----------------

The price of oils is decided in two ways, according to discussions.

1) Present price (P) based on supply-demand relationship

2) Expected price (PF) based on interest rate plus storage costs

PF = P * ( 1 + [interest rate] + [stock costs])

To understand the sharp rise or the high-level of the oil price, the concept "interest rate" should include a "risk premium."

If the "interest rate" including a risk premium is minus, the right hand side of the above equation has no real effect.

(It is Euforia that works here.  Interest rate has no meaning.  People going for bubble feeling high and neglecting danger.)

Then, PF itself decides the price P, according to a Japanese economist; thus you need other chart indicating speculatively expected profits vs. prices over the domain of real supply/demand or overhead costs.

(With future price F: F = P * (1 - [interest rate] - [stock costs])

The Japanese economist is right in finding importance of interpreting a factor flexibly in an equation in an economic model.

It simply means that economists should not be arrogant thinking that they have got all the necessary factors and they knew all the necessary behaviors of each factor.

(I have my own theory on economic modeling taking into consideration arrogance of economists...)

SECTION II: THE MANILA TIMES

I am extremely sorry for a recent big accident at sea of the Philippines that took 800 lives.

So, I will take up an analysis in The Manila Times on the steep hike of oil prices.

----------
The main reason for the recent rise it seems is speculation. There is widespread belief that crude oil supplies, while adequate at the moment, won’t be enough for the future…
A second reason is the huge appetite for crude oil by China and India, two of the world’s fastest growing economies. In 20 years, they will dominate the world, economically…
A third factor for rising oil prices is the massive shift of investment dollars into commodities such as precious metals, grains and petroleum, which are a hedge against the declining dollar.

US Sen. Joe Lieberman estimates that the value of investment funds tracking oil and other raw materials has risen from $13 billion to $260 billion in the past five years. He calls these funds "index speculators."

A fourth factor is the weak US dollar...
http://www.manilatimes.net/national/2008/may/31/yehey/opinion/20080531opi5.html
----------

Everything above stated is reasonable.

The Manila Times seems to be more useful than discussions by economists.

SECTION III: THE "BUSH'S WAR"

There is an old Japanese journalist who has recently seldom made a TV appearance due to a suspected common policy of Japanese TV stations to shun him for his anti-government stance.

But, he clearly stated that the recent higher oil price is a result from the War on Terror or the "Bush's War."

I think his claim is quite right.

His assertion can be extended to include the "risk premium" and “speculation” that the Bush Administration is adhering to the current occupation of Iraq and the future occupation of Iran crude oil reserves are getting scarce in the world.

Indeed, you have to sometimes listen to a veteran journalist, if he is so anti-ruling parties.

(In the coming G8 Summit in Hokkaido, Japan, I hope that President Mr. George W. Bush will declare that he will immediately start withdrawal of US troops from Iraq and Afghanistan in order to launch the War on Oil Prices.)

[APPENDIX.
If foreign oil companies provide money and technical know-how in deals more ambitious than those now being negotiated, Iraq realistically could pump an extra 3.5 million barrels per day into the global oil market within two to three years, says Wayne Kelley, director of RSK, an oil consulting company that has studied Iraq's oil sector for clients including the U.S. and Iraqi governments.
Such an increase would more than double Iraq's current oil output — and add nearly 4% to the global supply. "That becomes a very significant amount that would help alleviate gas and energy prices," Kelley says. "Iraq truly has that capacity."
http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/energy/2008-06-19-Iraqoil_N.htm ]

*** *** *** ***

That is all for today.

But, in a conventional argument, Japan has been responsible for oil prices as with the U.S.
"Moreover, there are at least two very large actors in this play who actually (and actively) stockpile oil in periods of RISING prices, further contributing to price hikes. They are the U.S. government and the Japanese government."
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070424095450AATctnQ

[APPENDIX in 2011.
Here a supplement is provided in November, 2011.
If the CEO of Exxon thinks it should be between $60-$70 per barrel, that means that it should probably be closer to $30-$40 per barrel.  Exxon simply has too much vested interest in inflated oil prices to give an honest answer to this question.
To find what the reasonable oil price should actually be we need to look to the past, before speculators took control of the price curve.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/06/23/988038/-Economic-Costs-of-Oil-Speculation]

(And, remember that my heart is always bluer than crude oil.

http://www.fukuchan.ac/music/oldies/navyblue.html )

Mat 25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Mat 25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Mat 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Mat 25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Mat 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Mat 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Mat 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Mat 25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Mat 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Mat 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

NORTTH KOREA vs. JAPANESE ABDUCTEES

Around Tokyo Bay...

NORTH KOREA vs. JAPANESE ABDUCTEES

[Updated in February 2012]

North Korea is going to demolish the cooling tower of its nuclear reactor.

But, it is said in Japan that President Mr. George W. Bush has failed and Secretary Ms. Condoleezza Rice must suffer the aftermath:

-----------------
And President Bush not only pledged to lift some sanctions on the North, but also said he would remove the Stalinist regime from its list of state sponsors of terrorism.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7476625.stm
-----------------

So, I have to write some for Mr. and Mrs. Arimoto whose daughter was kidnapped by North Korea decades ago like the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Yokota, nonetheless, who was once invited to the White House, Washington D.C.

SECTION I: AMERICA NOT AS SUPER-POWER

There is no such a geopolitical position as North Korea, since technically the Korean War is yet to be completed.

There is no such a geopolitical position as the Korean Peninsula, since nuclear armed America, Russia, and China as well as potential military super-power Japan are directly confronted with one another.

If the US troops invaded Iraq, as actually it did, they would only meet Iraqi troops without air defense.

If the US troops invaded Afghanistan, as actually it did, they would only meet Taliban or AlQaeda gunmen.

But, if the US troops invaded North Korea, thousands of missiles would be fired from North Korea to South Korea and Japan, and a million Chinese troops equipped with, or supported by, modern weapons and hundreds of modern fighter planes and bombers would join North Korea, while Russia might like to test their advanced weapons on any accidental chance at its border to North Korea and Japan.

Indeed, the US military power is not overwhelming at all in this area, unless it uses its mighty nuclear weapons.

And, now as North Korea is equipped with at least a few nuclear bombs, a military solution cannot be an option even in order to stop the act of terror by North Korea: abduction of hundreds of Japanese and South Koreans, state business of selling and distributing drugs and fake dollar bills, and secret export of its missile and nuclear technologies to Islamic countries, etc.

But, President Mr. George W. Bush has officially admitted that North Korea must be taken away from the list of terrorists, so that North Korea can freely access its five billion dollar assets in foreign banks that have been frozen due to economic sanctions.

Indeed, the U.S. can declare war against isolated Iraq and weak Afghanistan, but the U.S. cannot fight against North Korea with thousands of missiles that can reach Seoul and Tokyo, nuclear bombs that can smash tens of thousands of US ground troops, and the Chinese backup with hundreds of modern fighter planes and nuclear missiles, in addition to direct pressure from the Russian military forces.

The US military forces deployed in East Asia are no more threats to North Korea and China, since they cannot be used for one-side invasion, as long as the two countries have no intention to use preemptively their military force against Taiwan or South Korea.

(Will North Korea launch military invasion of the South, taking the expected counterattacks from the U.S. lightly in any future, with or without acquiescence of or collusion with China? This can be a theme of another conspiracy theory, though.)

President Mr. George W. Bush has proved that the U.S. is not a super-power at all. The U.S. is simply stronger than Saddam Hussein's troops and the Taliban who have no threatening missiles, air forces, and nuclear weapons.

This must be the end of American Dream in East Asia.

Money China can invest in the U.S. has won. The U.S. cannot make an enemy out of China. All the super-rich Americans and the Bilderbergers want and need China's money.

All America has to do is to sign a treaty to officially put an end to the Korean War that was set off in 1950.

And, America should sign a peace treaty with China and North Korea, as well.

Accordingly, US troops should withdraw from the Korean Peninsula and the Okinawa Islands.

Then, peoples in East Asia will live peacefully forever...as brainwashed liberals in Japan wish...

Wait! Wait! But what about hundreds of Japanese and South Korean abductees having been kidnapped by North Korean agents in these decades?

...there are so many which, however, most of journalists in the world don't know.

These are the proofs of what the two autocratic states of China and North Korea have been doing.

Those identified with or regarded as the enemy of the Communist Party or the Labor Party in China or North Korea, respectively, are put into starvation leading to death or deprived of any human rights; their number is millions and more in China and North Korea.

Top leaders of China and North Korea are brainwashing people and even themselves, telling them that Japanese and Americans, most of whom are actually the enemy of Marxism and authoritarianism, are the enemy of the poor peoples in China and North Korea.

They will never release Japanese and South Korean abductees from North Korea, if the mainstream members of China and North Korea get rich and richer through trade with the U.S.

The only solution is a regime change in each country for democracy: China and North Korea.

Bloodless revolution, not a civil war, must break out in China and North Korea so that democracy is introduced peacefully.

Only democratic China and North Korea can release Japanese abductees and South Korean abductees.

(For this purpose, we have to ultimately disarm China and North Korea or at least force them to adopt a new pacifist constitution each that denies the state right of an aggresive war or the maintenance of military forces for such a war like the Japanese Constitution...)

*****************************************

This is so far what I can say to Mr. and Mrs. Arimoto whose daughter was kidnapped by North Korea decades ago like the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Yokota, nonetheless, who was once invited to the White House, Washington D.C.

But, I don't think their daughters were killed in North Korea while 2.8 million people are believed to have died of starvation there in late 1990's.

Appendix V. North Krean Spy Office

Any secret can be revealed as if it were shouted from a rooftop as Christ Jesus said so.
Room 39
Room 39 (also referred to as Bureau 39, Division 39, or Office 39) is a secretive Democratic People's Republic of Korea government organization that seeks ways to maintain the foreign currency slush fund of North Korea's leader Kim Jong-il...
Very little is known about Room 39 due to the secretive nature surrounding the organization, but it is widely speculated that the organization uses 10 to 20 bank accounts in China and Switzerland for the purposes of counterfeiting, money laundering and other illicit transactions. It is also alleged that Room 39 is involved in drug smuggling and illicit weapon sales. It is known, however, that the organization has 120 foreign trade companies under its jurisdiction and is under the direct control of Kim Jong-il. North Korea has denied taking part in any illegal activities.[citation needed] Room 39 is also involved in the management of foreign currency earnings from foreigners' hotels in Pyongyang, gold and zinc mining, and agricultural and fisheries exports. Companies believed to be controlled by Room 39 include Zokwang Trading and Taesong Bank.
A 2007 report published by the Millennium Project of the World Federation of United Nations Associations said North Korea makes an estimated $500 million to $1 billion annually from criminal enterprises.
In 2009, a Washington Post report outlined a global insurance fraud scheme by the North Korean government. The state-owned Korea National Insurance Corp sought reinsurance contracts with international reinsurers and then submitted fraudulent claims; the contracts were governed by North Korean law and legal challenges were fruitless.
Room 39 is also believed to be operating an overseas North Korean restaurant chain, Pyongyang.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Room_39

So, Western socialism or communism is convenient for the dictator and his cronies.  Capitalism is evil.  So, any mean strategies can be justified in a war against the capitalistic nations.  As the US, Japan, and South Korea are so evil because of capitalism they are based on, North Korea can do any cruel things against these countries.  This is their justification. And, some liberal Japanese are brainwashed by this false doctrine.  It is suspected some Japanese citizens, politicians, and gangsters have some association or a business tie with North Korean secret agencies.

Appendix VII. North Krean Leader Kim Jong-Il Died

His death is a kind of mystery in terms of how and when he really died, though his death was announced on the Monday of December 19, 2011.

But, it is widely recognized that his youngest son, Kim Jong-un, is now being set up as a kind of Kim Jong-il's successor.  It is said that it is secret in North Korea that Kim Jong-un's mother was born in Japan and spent her childhood in Osaka, the central city in western Japan.
Ko Young-hee (c. 16 June 1953 – c. 13 August 2004), also known as Ko Yong-hui,[1] was North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-il's consort.
Ko was born of Korean descent in Ikuno, Osaka, Japan,[2]At the age of 11, her family moved to North Korea in May, 1961. In the early 1970s, she began to work as a dancer for the Mansudae Art Troupe in Pyongyang.
She was the mother of two of Kim Jong-il's sons, Kim Jong-chul and Kim Jong-un, the latter of whom has been named as the successor to their father. On 27 August 2004, various sources reported that she had died, probably of breast cancer.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ko_Young-hee
Indeed, there are many South and North Korean residents living in Japan.  It is because the Empire of Japan annexed the Korean Peninsula in the first half of the 20th century due to Koreans' inability to cope with external invading power of Russia and to govern the nation in a modern and civilized manner.
Koreans in Japan
According to the statistics at Immigration Bureau of Japan, there were 565,989 Koreans in Japan in 2010. This figure does not include those who have adopted Japanese citizenship.
The 2005 figures are as follows:[4]
- Those with permanent resident status (general and special categories): 515,570
- Naturalized Japanese citizens: 284,840
- Long-term visitors: 82,666
- Korean students in Japan: 18,208
- Total: 901,284

Appendix VIII. Events After PM Koziumi's Visit to North Korea (DPRK)

According to the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sequence of events after the visit by Japanese Prime Minister Mr. Junichiro Koizumi to North Korea in 2002 is as follows:
(1) First Japan-DPRK Summit Meeting (September 17, 2002)
At the first Japan-DPRK summit meeting held on September 17, 2002, Kim Jong-Il, after years of denial, admitted the abductions of Japanese citizens and apologized. He also said that, of the 13 abduction victims, four were alive, eight were dead and that the entrance to North Korea could not be confirmed for one. In addition, he confirmed the abduction and existence of Hitomi Soga (although he claimed that Miyoshi Soga, her mother who had disappeared at the same time, had not entered North Korea). Moreover, while promising to punish those responsible and to prevent any recurrence, he assured that he would facilitate meetings between the victims and their families as well as their return to Japan. Then Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi strongly protested and demanded a continued investigation, the return of those alive and the prevention of any recurrence
(2) Dispatch of Investigation Team of the Government of Japan (September and October 2002)
(3) The Return to Japan by Five Victims (October 15, 2002)
(4) Second Japan-DPRK Summit Meeting (May 22, 2004)
On May 22, 2004, then Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi visited North Korea for the second time and engaged in discussions concerning the abduction and other bilateral issues  as well as security issues such as North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs.
(5) Japan-DPRK Working-Level Consultations (August, September, and November 2004)
(6) Japan-DPRK Comprehensive Talks (February 2006)

(7) Ballistic Missile Launches and the Announcement of a Nuclear Test by North Korea (July and October 2006)
(8) Working Group on the Normalization of Japan-DPRK Relations (March and September 2007)
(9) Japan-DPRK Working-Level Consultations (June and August 2008)

THE META-CONSPIRACY PRIOR TO 2001

(Museum of Maritime Science, Tokyo [but not the building behind which is a TV station looking so fantastic])

THE META-CONSPIRACY PRIOR TO 2001

So, I gave a warning on the assassination of Benazir Bhutto late last year.

---------
The Afghan government for the first time publicly accused the Pakistani intelligence service on Wednesday of organizing the failed plot to assassinate President Hamid Karzai at a parade in Kabul in April.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/26/world/asia/26afghan.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin
---------

But, the Ever Benevolent God told me that I must possess some materials to refer to as He so wishes.

SECTION I: Ms. Laurie Mylroie

Accordingly I remembered the book "Study of Revenge: The First World Trade Center Attack and Saddam Hussein's War against America" in which however the author Ms. Laurie Mylroie claims that Saddam Hussein was behind Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef, one of the planners of the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

http://www.lauriemylroie.com/

A majority of members of the mainstream media and the political circle have dismissed her claim as groundless, since various investigation the U.S. officials and agents conducted in Iraq after the fall of the Saddam Hussein regime could not find any proof that could support Mr. Mylroie’s claim (as well as the existence of weapons for mass destruction).

But, her book caught some international attentions; even in Japan a member of the Parliament once raised her claim in an official session years ago, in my humble memory.

Among the politically and academically high-level activities in her career, the most striking is the fact that "she had been a secret go-between between Baghdad and Jerusalem" as some witnesses so stated.

(Ms. Laurie Mylroie was the advisor on Iraq to the 1992 Clinton Presidential campaign.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurie_Mylroie

SECTION II:THE PERFECT CONSPIRACY

Which could be more like a perfect conspiracy, the Bush Administration’s act of terror at the WTC towers and the Pentagon with numerous bombs and missiles on Sept. 11, 2001 or the Saddam Hussein regime’s act of intelligently supporting the Islamic terror groups including AlQaeda?.

That is it! It is perfect now that everybody denies the theory presented by Ms. Laurie Mylroie, an ex assistant professor at the Department of Government at Harvard.

It looks so, as "in March 2008, the Pentagon released its study of some 600,000 documents captured in Iraq after the 2003 invasion (see 2008 Pentagon Report)." But this study "found no 'smoking gun' (i.e., direct connection) between Saddam's Iraq and al Qaeda," according to Wikipedia.

Nothing must be written in any documents, if it is a perfect conspiracy.

It looks so all the more, since “it also found that Saddam's Iraq was supporting Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman's al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya (Islamic Group), which was behind the 1993 attacks,” according to Wikipedia.

This Islamic Group killed 63 tourists, including 10 Japanese, at the Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahri) in Luxor in November, 1997.

Even on the surface level, "in 2003 the group renounced bloodshed but three years later there were reports of an alliance with terror group al-Qaeda."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Gama%27a_al-Islamiyya

SECTION III:THE PERFECT CONSPIRACY (2)

First of all, the US intelligence community could not correctly measure graveness of the progress of AlQaeda’s terror from the US Embassies bombing in East Africa in 1998 through the attack on the USS Cole in 2000 to the 9/11 Terror in 2001.

Secondly, though Iraq is a nation with relatively shorter history, people in the Mesopotamia has a longer history than Western Europeans and thus European Americans in terms of civilization, wars, and conspiracies.

Third, they all speak Arabic in Arab states. They all belong to the Islamic culture. And, some of them have huge resources of big money due to abundant oil fields. And, their long history has allowed deployment of very complicated human and financial networks. For example, they don’t need any written proofs, records, reports, or documents or charts to plan, organize, and order the action of terror, since they are all Muslims reading their Holy Book written in Arabic.

Therefore, the following story could be realized in the WTC attack in 1993:

One day a President of Iraq talked to himself that in this wide world there must be some Islamic warriors who would rather bravely attack the WTC towers in New York.

His monologue could not be missed by one or two secret agents around him whose names were however not on any lists of officials of the Iraqi Government. And, the agent would ask someone suitable but non-Iraqi to fly to Pakistan to meet a friend of AlQaeda or such a group. And then, a very unique or unlikely terrorist flew to New York to carry out the WTC attack in 1993.

Indeed, when Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef started to reveal his plan of terror to his supporters in New York in 1992 or early in 1993, he first told them that some streets where many Judaists lived should be the target. But, gradually, he changed his target to finally fix it on the WTC tower, saying that there were many Judaists in the building.

This was a nice technique, since nobody doubted that the WTC tower was the predetermined target. In fact, the secret Iraqi agent had read the mind of the Iraqi President who wanted the debacle of the symbol of New York as Baghdad had been so badly air-bombed during the 1991 Gulf War. New York must lose face as Baghdad lost face…

Consequently, the US Government might issue, several years later, "its study of some 600,000 documents captured in Iraq after the 2003 invasion that showed no 'smoking gun' (i.e., direct connection) between Saddam's Iraq and al Qaeda."

Indeed, there cannot be any direct connection between Saddam Hussein and Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef.

****************************************************************************

What I wanted to stress is that the lack of respect in the US Government for Ms. Laurie Mylroie seems to have led to the Terror on the Pentagon and the WTC towers in Sept. 2001.

It could be, even if Saddam Hussein never thought aloud on the possible fall of the WTC tower after his face-losing defeat in the 1991 Persian Gulf War.

If you doubt, ask any proud Arab if he would not even mutter to himself about the possible fall of the WTC tower after his face-losing defeat in the 1991 Persian Gulf War provided that he should be a President of Iraq.

American arrogance was precisely hard hit by Arab or Islamic pride through the meta-conspiracy prior to 2001, in my humble view, as is now observed in Afghanistan, seven years after 2001.

It is time for the US Government to respect the pride of poor people in the world.

(Allow me to mumble some, too: Oh, I wish I could go for sight-seeing, say, to Florence or Firenze, since I might see someone there!

TRUTH IN 2005

(Old antarctic expedition ship SOYA in public display at the Tokyo Bay)

TRUTH IN 2005 - unearthed by a German historian

I happened to find the photocopied images of a certain document on the Net, though other Web sites, such as the one dedicated to the quest of truth about a tragedy in a French village during WWII, also present it in a more convenient format:

----------
I was born at the estate of my father in Hartfeld, Austria, in 1896. My father was 60 years old at the time of my birth. He died when I was 6. I know nothing of my father's family. My brother and I spent little of our time together, as he was 7 years older. He attended the Realschule in Styria and spent only his vacations at home. The death of my mother left a deep impression on Adolf and myself. We were both very much attached to her. Our mother dies in 1907 and Adolf never returned home after that.

http://www.usd230.k12.ks.us/PICTT/eisenhower/PaulaWolff/1.html

http://www.oradour.info/appendix/paula02.htm
----------

Adolf Hitler had a sister seven years younger, named Paula. She was interrogated by an officer of the US 101st Airborne Division on July 12, 1945.

(We had better just take note of the fact that at that time the Empire of Japan was still desperately fighting against the U.S. and its allies through the Battle of Okinawa, the scale of which surpassed the Battle of Normandy.)

--------
After my brother finished school he went to Vienna. He wanted to go to the Academy and become a painter, but nothing came of it. My mother was very sick at the time. She was very attached to Adolf and wanted him to stay home. That's why he stayed. He left the house after her death in 1907. I never saw him from 1908 until 1921. I have no idea what he did at this time. I did not even know if he was still alive.
--------

There must be hundreds of thousands of German or Austrian men in the era, namely after WWI, who shared a similar situation with Adolf Hitler.

But, Adolf Hitler had a talent, excellent speech.

--------
I never had any particularly artistic interests. I could draw rather well and learned easily. My brother was very good in some subjects and very weak in others. He was the weakest in mathematics and, as far as I can remember, in physics, also his failure in mathematics worried my mother. He loved music. He preferred Wagner even then. Wagner was always his favourite.
--------

The closest observer of Adolf Hitler, namely his sister, confirmed a theory that Wagner switched on his brain to develop his talent, excellent speech.

--------
My brother came to Vienna in 1921 for the express purpose of seeing me. I did not recognise him at first when he walked into the house. I was so surprised that I could only stare at him. It was if a brother had fallen from heaven. I was already used to being alone in this world. He was very charming at the time. What made the biggest impression on me was the fact he went shopping with me. Every woman loves to shop.
--------

His success made it necessary for him to consider how to take care of his only direct family, the sister Paula, since young Adolf Hitler had worked well as a military spy on political parties which came to emerge in plenty after WWI, took a sort of academic training for propaganda in military facilities, and found a place in a certain political party after leaving the military.

At this point, Adolf Hitler must have found that his younger sister had better be left outside his career and professional arena, probably because she was more religious than he expected her to be.

---------
The first time that my brother suggested my changing my name was at the Olympic Games in Garmisch. He wanted me to live under the name of "Wolff", and maintain the strictest incognito. That was sufficient for me. From then on I kept this name. I added the "Mrs." as I thought that less conspicuous. I was ordered to remain incognito also when I was moved from my home in Austria to the Berchtesgadener Hof.

I lost my job in a Viennese insurance company in 1930 when it became known who my brother was. From that time until the Anschlu゚ he gave me a monthly pension of 250 Schillings. After the Anschlu゚ he gave me 250 marks a month.

In 1940 I went to Berlin to see my brother. I was never under the observation of the Sicherheitsdienst. I could always move about freely. The criminal police once came to check on all the guests when I lived in a hotel in Munich during Mussolini's visit. Even they did not know who "Frau Wolff" was.

I am a Catholic, and the church is my biggest outside interest. My brother was also Catholic, and I don't believe that he ever left the church. I don't know for sure.

---------

Everything she stated looks true.

And, this part is significant, since Paula Hitler, though looking so innocent and isolated, must have known the massacre of Judaists actually and horribly having happened, as this interrogation was conducted after the surrender of Germany.

Yet, she claimed to be a Catholic, while his brother was hugely responsible for this massacre.

And, she did not think that her brother Adolf Hitler left the church despite that fact that he had committed such atrocities.

In another interrogation conducted a year after, she tried to defend herself and her brother Adolf Hitler.

---------
I do not believe that my brother ordered the crime committed to innumerable human beings in the concentration - camps or that he even knew of these crimes. It may be possible however, that the hard years during his youth in Vienna caused his anti-Jewish attitude. He was starving severely in Vienna and he believed that his failure in painting was only due to the fact that trade in works of art was in Jewish hands.

http://www.oradour.info/appendix/paula01.htm
---------

But, the agent in charge of the interrogation in 1946 was cool and wise.

---------
She could become a germ cell for a new disaster, maybe against her own wishes.

One thing is certain: the American, who visited her and declared that the question who is to blame for all what happened since 12 years war and crimes, destruction and death, can only be answered by future generations, will not remain the only one. Many people, Americans and other, will come and bear a share to show Hitler as what he has never been: a kind man and a great Leader.

---------

Indeed, a proof telling that she had not been a very innocent and isolated woman was unearthed in 2005:

---------
The 2005 discovery of a journal written by Paula Hitler showed she was once engaged to Dr. Erwin Jekelius, an Austrian associated with crimes against humanity during the Holocaust as one of the Third Reich's most notorious euthanasia doctors. Hitler was against the marriage and Jekelius was sent to the Eastern front. He died in a Soviet prison in 1952 while serving a 25-year-sentence for killing 4,000 civilians including hundreds of children during the Nazi Euthanasia Program.

http://www.adolfhitler.dk/paula/page_3.htm
---------

The fact that the truth emerged in 2005 through miracle work of a certain German historian is so meaningful especially in the era of the War on Terror and the crazy War on CO2, since truth is yet to be presented regarding these Wars on Terror and CO2.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20060921122205AANdn6g

I still think that such a large-scale atrocity is only possible when being supported by religious or ideological rationalization.

As a Christian during and before WWII, every German must have known that Jesus Christ said to forgive and love enemies; but they thought that it could be overlooked if they had attacked the enemy of Christianity in a manner that would be overlooked by, say, the Vatican.

Finally, I can sense the similar dangerous influence of European Christianity on the War on Terror and the War on CO2 which I have felt on the mindsets of Paula Hitler and her elder brother Adolf Hitler as I checked the reports on Paula Hitler who marvelously survived WWII though she died on June 1, 1960 at the age of 64.

Yet, the God Almighty said to love your enemy and not to judge others, meaning that you cannot judge Paula Wolff.

Mr. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed & Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef

Mr. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed & Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef

If you cannot appreciate difference in a crucial matter, you had better not make TV appearance.

I say so, since there are many people who should not have made TV appearance for their safety and security.

But, if you can, you may so far as now, in my humble view.

SECTION I: SUCH ECONOMISTS AND JOURNALISTS

There is a Japanese economist who has been living a very hapless life.

Having graduated from a top university in Japan to discover his own talent as an economist, the man won attention from some influential people and got recruited as a kind of retained economist by a certain politician.

Accordingly, he was given a good position in an academic community and the financial sector to make public appearance on TV and magazines with eclat, helping some politicians promote their economic policy or their view on economics.

However, as patronizing politicians gradually lost social reputation and decisively got defeated in the power struggle in the ruling party, the economist also faced a fierce crisis.

He was eventually made a kind of victim of and got arrested and prosecuted for a minor charge, so dubious though seemingly derived from his non-religious personality.

There are however many people in Japan who are supporting the economist, since he has been clearly against economic and financial policy of the Japanese Government that, according to their claim, slavishly follows the US Government.

For example, one of his fans is Mr. Benjamin Fulford, a journalist and author of Canadian descent living in Japan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benjamin_Fulford) who claims that the Japanese financial sector has been gravely harmed by gangsters and organized crime.

Yet, the Japanese economist could not understand why the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory could not be possible or trusted at least in terms of science, engineering, governmental administration, the modern history of the U.S. and the Arab world, and functions of US journalism and Congress.

Nonetheless, some of opinions on economy the economist has professionally presented seem more reasonable than those by Mr. Heizo Takenaka (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heizo_Takenaka), other notable economist politically highly praised in Japan, who seems to have never believed the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory probably because Mr. Tekenaka knows that the Bilderberg Group is not so smart as to be able to manipulate the US Government…

SECTION II: WTC ATTACK IN 1993

Mr. Ramzi Ahmed Yousef is a very symbolic person in terms of the War on Terror, though he only gave minor damages to the World Trade Center tower with his bombing attack in 1993.

--------------
In 1997, Osama bin Laden said during an interview that he did not know Yousef but claimed to know Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. He was the mastermind behind the September 11, 2001 attacks and Yousef's uncle. According to the 9/11 Commission, he said under interrogation that "Yousef was not a member of al Qaeda and that Yousef never met Bin Ladin."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramzi_Yousef
--------------

Mr. Yousef actually killed one Japanese on board a jet plane flying from the Philippines to Japan.

--------------
On December 11, 1994, Yousef boarded a Philippine Airlines Flight 434 in Manila headed to Cebu; he pretended to be an Italian man named Armaldo Forlani. Midway through the flight he disappeared into the toilet, took off his shoes to get the batteries and assembled his bomb which he tucked into the life vest under his seat, seat number 26K. The plane flew on to Cebu where Yousef got off before the final leg of the flight to Tokyo, Japan. Haruki Ikegami, a 24-year-old businessman, took Yousef's old seat. Two hours later, the device exploded, killing Ikegami. The blast blew a hole in the floor and severed the cables that controlled the plane's right aileron. The jet's steering was crippled but the captain made an emergency landing at Naha Airport on Okinawa (southern Japan), saving 272 passengers and 20 crew. Yousef monitored the effects of his "test", then increased the amount of explosive in his devices and began preparing at least a dozen bombs.
--------------

If you have ever considered the significance of these incidents, you would never believe unquestioningly the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory that claims that the Bush Administration planned and carried the WTC and Pentagon attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

SECTION III: WTC ATTACK IN 2001

New York Times reported on the primary suspect in the 9/11 attacks, Mr. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, having been arrested in Pakistan and eventually brought into a US court room at Guantánamo, Cuba.

But, the newspaper report seems to be focused more on a certain CIA interrogator who had been in charge of handling Mr. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed at a secret facility of CIA in Poland.

---------------------
…The very fact that Mr. Martinez, a career narcotics analyst who did not speak the terrorists’ native languages and had no interrogation experience, would end up as a crucial player captures the ad-hoc nature of the program. Officials acknowledge that it was cobbled together under enormous pressure in 2002 by an agency nearly devoid of expertise in detention and interrogation…

In its scramble, the agency made the momentous decision to use harsh methods the United States had long condemned. With little research or reflection, it borrowed its techniques from an American military training program modeled on the torture repertories of the Soviet Union and other cold-war adversaries, a lineage that would come to haunt the agency…

Asked, for example, how he would smuggle explosives into the United States, Mr. Mohammed told C.I.A officers that he might send a shipping container from Japan loaded with personal computers, half of them packed with bomb materials, according to a foreign official briefed on the episode…

His cooperation came in fits and starts, and interrogators said they believed at times that he gave them disinformation. But he talked most freely to Mr. Martinez.

An obvious chasm separated these enemies — the interrogator and the prisoner. But Mr. Martinez shared a few attributes with his adversary that he could exploit as he sought his secrets. They were close in age, approaching 40; they had attended public universities in the American South (Mr. Mohammed had studied engineering at North Carolina A&T); they were both religious; and they were both fathers

Together they amount to a detailed history of Mr. Mohammed’s initiation into terrorism along with his nephew, Mr. Yousef; his plotting of mayhem from Bosnia to the Philippines; and his alliance with Osama bin Laden, to whom the egotistical Mr. Mohammed was reluctant to defer.

Mr. Mohammed also claimed a role in a long list of completed and thwarted attacks. Human rights advocates have questioned some of Mr. Mohammed’s claims, including the beheading of Mr. Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter, suggesting that they may have been false statements made to stop torture…

On June 5, Mr. Mohammed made a theatrical return to the public eye at his Guantánamo Bay arraignment, with a long, graying beard and a defiant insistence that the American military commission could do no more to him than give him his wish: execution and martyrdom.

His interrogator has moved on, too. Like many other C.I.A. officers in the post-9/11 security boom, Mr. Martinez left the agency for more lucrative work with government contractors…

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/22/washington/22ksm.html?pagewanted=1&_r=2&hp&adxnnlx=1214182959-jHOOlnla/WhlkEOiZvSfcQ
---------------------

When they were young men going to college in the U.S. in early 1980’s, the Islamic terrorist and the ex-CIA interrogator might have crossed in their lives.

But the Muslim’s nephew carried out the 1993 WTC attack and eventually got arrested.

The Muslim met with Mr. Osama bin Laden, helped the 2001 WTC attack, and eventually got arrested.

And now, the rich life of the ex-CIA interrogator, whose father is a retired CIA technician, seems to depend on the boom in intelligent business around the War on Terror.

All I hope is that they do not help another conspiracy, say, called the “9/11 Conspiracy Theory,” since the Bilderberg Group has money at least for the diffusion of the “9/11 Conspiracy Theory,” though their money would not be able to buy an influence on Mr. Osama bin Laden.

****************************************************************************

The 9/11 Conspiracy Theory has really hindered a non-nonsense quest on why the Iraqi War and the removal of Saddam Hussein from power were the most important but hidden agenda for President Mr. George W. Bush even before September, 2001.

But I suspect that when the father of the President met with a brother of Mr. Osama bin Laden at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Washington on the morning of Sept.11, 2001, they might have been telling a need to remove Saddam Hussein from power, so fatefully.

http://www.cbc.ca/fifth/conspiracytheories/saudi.html

If Mr. George W. Bush had declared that his top priority was put on the embarking in a war against Saddam Hussein of Iraq during the 2000 Presidential Election Campaign, could he have been elected?

Of course, if Mr. George W. Bush had revealed the truth on the US-Arab relationship after the 1991 Persian Gulf War, US voters all the more might have voted for him.

Until this truth is unearthed from political and even psychological spheres of people concerned, the War on Terror cannot be ended for US voters, in my humble view.

One of proofs of existence of such truth is the never-prohibited act of conspiracy to diffuse the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory which was designed to conceal certain relationships between American and British super-rich people and Arab super-rich people.

Therefore so much more, until this truth is unearthed from political and even psychological spheres of people concerned, the War on Terror cannot be ended for US voters, in my humble view.

Economists, journalists, and pundits in the world should focus their efforts on this agenda as US soldiers are still fighting and being wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan while the world is entering the crazy War on CO2.

(For example, if John Lennon had supported the Vietnam War, he might have still been alive, since he could have obtained more friends in the US political community. That is why even in order to understand words of a song you must know the truth of an era, if it is just rock and roll music.

WESTERN THREATS TO JAPAN

(On the Bay of Tokyo)

WESTERN THREATS TO JAPAN

There are many Europeans and European Americans who love peace and Japan.

But, I have to write some on Western threats to Japan, since I got a miracle warning these days, though there are so many Europeans and European Americans who really love peace and Japan.

SECTION I: TOSA DOGS

The other day, or a week or so ago in a public park, I saw a strange late-middle-aged man with his dog. It did not look like a usual dog-walking to me, though other walkers did not mind the man, since he was not provocative to passers-by at all, but only to his dog.

He was treating the dog, as if a drunken man was scolding, though it was apparent that he was not doing so in order to intimidate other people around. He was so immersed in disciplining and handling his dog, though so weirdly. In a sense, it looked like a drunken man’s ominous behavior to me. I would not have been surprised if his dog had bit the owner, though it looked very docile while being hurled abuse at. In other word, it was a very strange and weird scene I seldom encountered and thus so memorized.

This morning, a Japanese TV news program reported that a Tosa dog bit and killed its owner, a late-middle-aged man in Fukuoka Prefecture, Western Japan.

Alarmingly, last December in the same prefecture of the Kyusyu Island, other Tosa dog bit and killed an old woman.

This is a miracle sending out a warning to me, though it looks so local and plain; yet it is accompanied with deaths of a man and a woman due to a mad Tosa dog in either case.

And, I checked the Wikipedia about the Tosa dog.
------
This breed originated in the second half of the nineteenth century. The breed started from the native Shikoku-Inu, an indigenous dog weighing about 25 kilograms and standing about 55 centimetres high, which closely resembles the European Spitz. These dogs were crossed with European dog breeds, such as the Bulldog in 1872, Mastiff in 1874, St. Bernard, German Pointer in 1876, Great Dane in 1924, and the Bull Terrier[4]. The aim was to breed a larger, more powerful dog. The heyday of Tosa breeding was between 1924 and 1933, when it was said that there were more than 5,000 Tosa breeders in Japan.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tosa_(dog)
------

I do not blame Western or European dogs. But, a dangerously aggressive nature of the Tosa dog must come from its wild ancestors who were originally born and brought up in the traditionally hunting culture of Europe.

European strength can be a merit but it must be carefully controlled, especially, in Japan, starkly different from in the United States.

So, this can be a miracle warning to us, since Tosa dogs partly came from European blood lines and killed two Japanese in this half a year, though their owners must take responsibility even if so tragic, for which I am awfully sorry.

SECTION II: BATTLE IN OKINAWA

The Battle of Okinawa ended on June 23, 1945.

The Empire of Japan mobilized 116,400 troops, while the U.S. and its allies 548,000 troops for the last major ground campaign in the Pacific Stage of WWII.

The Empire of Japan lost 188,136 lives, while the U.S. and its allies 12,520 on the southern island of the Japanese archipelago.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Okinawa

After the WWII, the Empire of Japan disappeared as the Japanese people adopted a new constitution which denies a sovereign right to keep military forces for war.

Though Japan today has self-defense forces as the Japanese Government interprets the Constitution as implicitly authorizing due maintenance of military forces exclusively for the defense purpose, the tradition of the Imperial Military was not inherited in the post-WWII society in Japan.

There is a stark discontinuity in the view and the sense of the Japanese people on national security, defense, and everything about enforcement of military force.

Nonetheless, I do not think our ancestors living in the Empire of Japan were foolish or barbaric at all.

I do not, since European invasion of Africa, Asia, and America has been so foolish and barbaric.

-----------
…In this case, there are settlers from a dominating foreign country, or countries, and often the property of indigenous peoples is seized, to provide the settlers with land. Foreign mores, religions and/or legal systems are imposed. In some cases, the local population is held for unfree labour, is submitted to brutal force…

…it is possible for colonies to become overseas possessions, against the wishes of indigenous peoples. This often results in ongoing and long-lasting independence struggles by the descendants of the original inhabitants….

…Most non-European countries were colonies of Europe at one time or another, or were handled in a quasi-colonial manner. The European colonies and former colonies in America made extensive use of slave labor, initially using the native population, then through the importation of slaves from black Africa…

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colony
-----------

The Battle on the Okinawa Island can be interrupted from an anti-European-colonists view.

Without understanding this viewpoint, you cannot understand sentiments of some nationalist Japanese.

(If you can read Japanese, refer to the following;

SECTION III: BATTLESHIP MUTSU

The battleship Mutsu of the Imperial Nave of Japan, until its mysterious, tragic, and explosive scuttling in 1943, was the most popular battleship among boys during and before WWII, as the super twin battleships Yamato and Musashi were completely kept secret (since there were no battleships that could match them in the world then).

When you look at the picture of Mutsu and know that there were scores of such battleships operated by the Empire of Japan, you might come to think that how bellicose Japan has been.

But you are wrong. Before facing intensified invasion of East Asia and China by Western colonialists, Japan had been very peaceful country.

Since the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the ruler of Japan in the late 16th century, and the end of his dream of military invasion and occupation of China through Korea, Japan had not sent any troops overseas for more than 260 years until the late 19th century.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyotomi_Hideyoshi

Japan, Korea, and China were all in peace in the 17th, 18th, and mostly 19th century in their bilateral relationships, respectively.

Japanese samurai regimes in these periods took the policy of seclusion without developing and maintaining any military capability that could be a threat to Korea and China.

But, when facing intensified invasion of East Asia and China by Western colonialists, a great civil war erupted in Japan to put an end to the Tokugawa samurai regime who could not fully abolish a feudal paradigm.

Coastal areas of China were half colonized by Western power after the Opium Wars in 1841 and 1856.

Korea, also sealing off to the outer world, still continued to live in a closed-minded manner in its economically half broken kingdom based on the old Confucian value.

In short, China and Korea, mostly governed by civilians and noblemen, had no military capability to repel the invasion by Western colonialists.

But, Japan was different. Samurais had been governing the nation more than 1,000 years.

Yet, what I want to stress is that without Western colonialists’ militarily invasion of East Asia, Japan would not have found any reasons to build up massive Imperial Military and the world-class war machine, including the battleship Mutsu equipped with eight 16-inch batteries.

And, we may still need 16-inch guns to repel hedge-funds conspiracies and the CO2 conspiracy being so extensively pushed by Europeans and European Americans onto India, China, Indochina, Korea, and Japan.

At around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, I was standing in a spatter of rain before a 16-inch gun once equipped Mutsu with and salvaged from the bottom of the sea 38 years ago.

I have never been to any museum in Japan that displays or exhibits weapons used by the Imperial Navy or Army in WWII. I have never visited the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo dedicated to fallen soldiers of the Empire of Japan.

Having said so, so sad to say, the recent miracles have told me how careful Japanese must be when handling ideas, cultural products, weapons, and even dogs which have their roots in European Civilization, since it can be traced back to the Roman Empire.

Anyway, I was satisfied with the battery placed on the Tokyo Bay or at the estuary of the Holy Arakawa River that flows near my city.

It is also because I had to take preemptive measures as a citizen in a special manner, if looked so nonsense to unbelievers, since a miniature version of the Virginia Tech Massacre has occurred in Japan twice and more in these months so tragically (in addition to the Tosa dog’s fatal-biting incidents so alarmingly, too).

(I love Western Civilization whose products must be nonetheless carefully handled in Japan in order to make the best use of them, since I love some Western melodies.

Leaving for the Tokyo Bay

Leaving for the Tokyo Bay

(So, I went to the Tokyo Bay today leaving a nearby Garden of Eden in a rainy weather.

Around the noon, two small-sized earthquakes reportedly occurred in the north and the east of Tokyo Prefecture.

And, around the Tokyo Bay, every district was forested with endless chains of modern and old buildings for business and residence.

As reared before a TV station, the only object I encountered with any subtle surprise was however a golden, colossal lance …)
